Magical Shapes, 2012, 3D Print, plaster, 4,8 x 7 x 44 cm
The artwork is the enlarged 3D printing fossil that has the spiral construction called Bryozoan. It was constructed in cooperation with the Museum for Naturkunde Berlin and Technische Universitaet Berlin. The Structure of Bryozoan was scanned more than 2000 times with the especial CT scanner from the Museum for the Naturkunde and then finally 3D printed almost 20 times bigger than the original size. I attempted to observe art more with scientific approach. The reconstructed structure of the fossil clarifies not only the law in the microscopic world but also shows the commonality between human being and Microorganism.
